Diving near Barbados

Reefs around most healthy Barbados in the Caribbean Sea, with a wide variety of species, including some rare varieties rarely seen anywhere else, such as Seahorse, Batfish, Frogfish, Flying gurnard. Barbados, a small island 26 miles long and 14 miles wide. Most interesting places to go diving is located on the western and southern coasts of the island, with good offshore and free passage to the beautiful warm Caribbean Sea. The northern part of the island barely suitable for diving because of the enormous Atlantic waves and the rocky shores.

Places to go diving around Barbados change from the edge of reef to a depth of 30ft and 60ft to the outside barrier reef to a depth of 40ft to 150ft. But we are not running at maximum depth for security reasons, and no sense! much of the marine life in the depths 40-60ft.

North Point Lighthouse. It is very often not suitable for diving because it is one of the most northern sections of the island, the depth is 30 do100ft corals good quality, with Barracudas on the brink of the reef.

Maycock 's Reef. The northern section for diving, where divers dive regularly, but not too often. Most of the reefs in Barbados almost parallel Bank, the reef is one of the exceptions, it is perpendicular to the shore. The reef is composed of the reef fingers extending to the bank fingers separated Valley sand at approximately 50-100 feet and ending around 500ft from the shore, and there is increased depth do140ft. The Little Farm round reef very popular with divers, reef in good condition despite the depth 50-80ft. Tropicana. Long Reef (50-100ft) wide with the tabs on each side, there were some Nurse sharks, which are extremely rare in the island. Many acne, and if you are lucky, you can see Manta. The depth here varies 60-80ft. Dottins. One of the most popular places for diving on the west coast. Depth of less than 40ft at the top of the reef do100ft on the internal and external side of the reef. It is suitable for all divers with any level of training and knowledge as a place visited Turtles, Bar Jacks, Yellowtails and Barracuda.
